Merging Flare: Reverence
31/05/11 || sly
This debut album from Finland’s Merging Flare (what the fuck does this moniker mean?) is an overt manifestation of idolatry. These laddies clearly worship at the feet of Accept, Helloween, Judas Priest, and Queen. In fact, “Reverence” (hmm, this title seems to make sense now) is basically those four bands rolled into one very typical Finnish/German-sounding power metal party. They even got Kai Hansen to do some guitar solos and vocal work on it. Well, good for them. They’ll probably never create anything mind-blowing, but at least they’re having fun.
6/10: For the ultimate power metal nerd who won’t stop till his collection is complete.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
